Abstract
In a world of profound and accelerated change, inclusion is simultaneously a principle, a goal and a path. How is inclusion understood today and how has it been conceptualized and transformed? Which questions and problems have been identified today, in contemporary societies, for pursuing this principle and goal? How can education, in formal and non-formal contexts, promote inclusion? Which are the challenges faced by schools and teachers’ training institutions for promoting inclusion? Which strategies facilitate the construction of a more inclusive society? How can research keep on producing knowledge and provoke our concern and commitment with inclusion?
